Gloria and her babies came to Good Catch when the pups were just 3 days old. They were born in a shelter, and when we called to ask when Gloria could be rescued, we were told there were now seven little lives depending on her—and us.
From that moment on, these babies have known nothing but love. Gloria has cared for them with incredible devotion, like a nurse tending her patients, and they’ve never wanted for anything. For their first five weeks, they stayed in our Good Catch building, where they had the quiet, privacy, and time every new momma deserves.
Just this past week, the pups graduated to our barn pen, a space designed especially for litters like theirs. Now, they’re beginning to explore the world around them—and day by day, their personalities are starting to shine.
Lana is the largest of the litter and a natural leader. She was the first to do just about everything—carry around a tennis ball, wander into the yard, and investigate every bit of “hub bub.” She’s confident, curious, and will likely grow to be about the same size as her 65-pound momma.
Right behind her is Ronan, our little spitfire. He’s always ready to wrestle anyone who gives him the slightest attention and tends to “talk” while he plays, so you’ll never have to wonder where he is. He looks up to Lana and often follows her lead.
Guthrie, third in size, is a fuzzy brindle bear with a thoughtful side. He prefers to observe the world from the safety of under the dog cot, taking everything in before making his move. Recently, though, he’s been growing braver, venturing out more on his own—until something startles him and he retreats back to his cozy hideaway.
Aster, a beautiful tri-colored female, shares some of Guthrie’s reserved nature. She’s beginning to come out of her shell, showing a growing interest in toys and playtime. She’s a solid-sized pup and will likely reach around 60 pounds when full grown.
Inez, our tan and white girl, is truly a momma’s girl. She’s happy to explore—but only after her siblings have tested the waters first. For now, she prefers the comfort of staying close and watching the big world from the safety of her doorway.
And then there’s Otis, our tiniest pup with the biggest personality. As the runt of the litter, he’s always done things his own way—independent, confident, and full of character. Despite his smaller size, he has a GRAND presence and will likely grow to be around 40–50 pounds.
These pups are currently available for pre-adoption. They’re still too young to leave their mom, but they’ve already received their first puppy vaccine. At 9 weeks old, they’ll get their second round and will be ready to head to their forever homes. They will continue to need vaccinations every 3 weeks until they’re about 18 weeks old.
They’ve been routinely dewormed since 2 weeks of age and are thriving—healthy, happy, and full of love to give.
Young puppies do best in homes where someone is around most of the day to provide structure, playtime, and companionship as they grow into confident, well-adjusted dogs.
We are based in Texas but adopt to multiple states. Our goal is always to find the very best match for each pup, and we work with trusted transport partners to safely deliver them to their forever homes.
Puppies in our care who are 6 months or older are spayed or neutered through Good Catch; for younger puppies, this responsibility falls to the adopter.
