Meet Elroy! Twenty five pounds of joy, mischief and curiosity. Elroy and his brother COTA were rescued by good friends of ours after the two were picked up following a week of roaming along a busy road. His brother suffered a broken pelvis and is still mending, but Elroy is more than ready to find a family of his own.
This fella is dynamic. He’ll require a securely fenced yard because he can and will dig out if he gets bored or is left alone too long. He absolutely LOVES water and swimming. On any given day, you can pretty much guarantee he’ll come inside soggy after a “soak” in the dog pool.
Elroy has made friends with every dog he’s been introduced to at Good Catch. He’s also done very well with children and would be happy to have some two legged playmates in his life. He does not discriminate and other dogs tend to warm up to him quickly thanks to his easy going demeanor. Cats are another story. Elroy thinks chasing cats would make an excellent full time career, so we’re looking for a cat free home for him.
He is a healthy, stocky boy with a great balance of crazy and lazy. He’s fully vetted and never skipped a beat after his neuter. See the blue donut photos for proof.
Elroy is excited to go everywhere you go. Outside? He’s right there with you. Inside? Here he comes! Going for a ride somewhere? Wait! Here comes Elroy. He’ll be your best friend forever and with Elroy by your side, you’ll never have to do much alone.
This wiry boy is also a low shedder. We believe he may have some pug and Border Terrier in him, but those guesses are based solely on our observations.
Elroy is not a great fit for apartment living. He needs exercise, enrichment, room to play and people who will keep that busy little brain occupied. And if you already have a dog looking for a playmate, Elroy just might be who they’ve been missing.
