Cyrus was one of three puppies rescued alongside their mom after they were found abandoned in a crate on the side of a remote road. A good Samaritan stepped in to help and reached out online for assistance.
That was the day everything changed for Cyrus and his family.
Cyrus is 3 months old and currently weighs 15 pounds. DNA testing from one of his littermates indicates that mom, Sunny, is a Chihuahua/Poodle mix, while dad was an Australian Shepherd/Shepherd mix. Based on his current size, we estimate that Cyrus will grow to around 30 pounds.
This dappled dude is a happy-go-lucky puppy. He's curious, confident, playful, social, and seems to be the leader of the Sunny trio. Cyrus has the energy of an Aussie mixed with the fun-loving spirit of a Poodle. He's a smart boy who is eager to learn and easy to train.
Cyrus would do well in a home with children who are old enough to understand that puppies explore and play with their mouths. A home with a yard would be ideal, as he loves spending time outdoors. At this time, we don't believe apartment living would be the best fit for him.
Cyrus currently barks at the barn cats he sees every day. He would thrive either as the only dog in a home where someone is around to provide plenty of enrichment and guidance during his puppyhood, or with another friendly dog who would enjoy having a companion.
Cyrus is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and receiving flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Puppies in our care who are 6 months of age or older are spayed or neutered through Good Catch. For younger puppies, this responsibility falls to the adopter.
 
We are based in Texas but adopt to multiple states. Our goal is always to find the very best match for each pup, and we work with trusted transport partners to safely deliver them to their forever homes.
