This is Boone. He was one of 12 puppies born to their momma on January 11th. We got to them when there were only 6 left as their previous family had already started giving them away after their mom got hit by a car.
Boone is the only male of these 6 pups who we call the "Lucky litter". Boone means "good fortune or blessing" and we wholeheartedly believe he is.This chonky boy may look serious in his photos but he's actually a silly, goof and as he grows, his personality develops on the daily. He's surrounded by 5 sisters, so he's been schooled in social skills since day one. Boone loves to snuggle up with the other pups but will take on a wrestling partner at any given chance- Felicity usually wins ;).
Boone currently weighs in at 12 pounds and is steadily putting on 2 pounds/week. We see him being over 50 pounds easily once full grown.
Out of the 6, Boone is the most mouthy. He loves to test his teefers. We're working on redirecting him to toys and chews, but for this reason, we feel like children under 6 may take offense. Obviously all puppies love to teethe and nibble while at this age, he just loves it a little more.
Boone is microchipped, on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and at 6 weeks started his course of puppy vaccinations (1 every 3 weeks until they're 4 months old). He is NOT neutered as we don't spay or neuter our babies this young. We feel it's important to let the hormones fuel their growth so their adopters will be responsible for this procedure by the time he's 10 months old.
Boone will require an adopter where someone is home to care for him throughout the day (not just a lunch break), At this age, it is so very important for pups to have company and enrichment so that they can grow into confident, social and happy adults.
We only use trusted transport partners to deliver our pups and dogs to their forever homes. Please visit us on Facebook for a more intimate look into the care of our extended fuzzy family.
