At just 8 weeks old, Sissy and her siblings landed in an overcrowded shelter in Wilson County, Texas. One by one, her littermates were adopted—until Sissy was the last one waiting. That changed on May 11th, when her foster mom decided to take a chance on her.
Now 6 months old, Sissy is fully vetted and blossoming into an incredible companion. As a Good Catch foster, she’s on the path to finding the forever family she deserves.
While we await her DNA results, Sissy shows the intelligence and trainability of a shepherd. She adores water like a Labrador and strikes the perfect balance between playful energy and relaxed cuddles—just as a healthy pup her age should.
Sissy loves toys of all kinds and is always happy to follow her foster parents around just to be near them. She's great with the other dogs in her foster home—both new and old—making her a wonderful playmate. While she hasn’t been tested with cats, we believe a cat-free home would be the best fit for this golden beauty.
Currently weighing in at 32 pounds, Sissy is expected to stay under 45 pounds—an ideal medium size. With the right enrichment and exercise, she’s the kind of dog who will return your love and investment tenfold.
Sissy thrives on connection and would do especially well in a home with young children. She’s crate trained, house trained, and ready to finally gain the one thing she’s been missing: a last name.
